Public Libraries’ Section AGM 2007

The Annual General Meeting of the Section will be held in the Ballina Public Library, Pearse Street, Ballina, Co. Mayo on Monday, 12th March at 2.00pm.

The meeting will be preceded by a tour of the library with a short talk on the prestigious Jackie Clarke Collection, beginning at 12.00pm.

The Public Libraries Section of the Library Association of Ireland represents all library grades from Branch Librarian to Senior Executive Librarian.  In order to continue our activities, the Public Libraries’ Section urgently needs new and interested members for our committee.

The procedure for electing Officers and Committee members for the section is as follows: Any member of the section is eligible for election. Elections take place each year at the A.G.M.; each Officer/Committee member must be proposed and seconded at the meeting. Outgoing members of the Committee who wish to continue to serve must be formally proposed and seconded. If you are unable to attend the A.G.M., but would like to join the committee, please contact the secretary and a proposer and seconder will be arranged for you.
