To celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Library Association of Ireland, a special dinner will be held in The Oak Room in the Mansion House on 23rd October 2008. This is a unique occasion to mark an important milestone in the history of our Association.
The event will commence at 6.30pm with a reception hosted by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, followed by dinner at 7pm. In addition, it is hoped to include a photographic exhibition highlighting events, activities and personalities associated with the Library Association over the years. We would be delighted to hear from members and friends who may have photographs that could be included in this exhibition to supplement our archival material. The first meeting of the Library Association was held in the Mansion House on 28th October 1928 so it is most fitting that we return to the same venue in 2008.
It is expected that there will be a great deal of interest in this event and the official booking form is now available here. Booking Form
Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis so don’t miss out on this special occasion.
